Strategic Cooperation between Chongqing Iron and Steel Group

Recently, China State Shipbuilding Corporation and Chongqing Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement, and China State Shipbuilding Corporation will increase the procurement of shipbuilding steel of Chongqing Iron and Steel Group.
It is reported that the group and China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation have reached three cooperations, respectively signed the "Strategic Cooperation Agreement", "Strengthening Non-Boat (Non-Steel) Cooperation Framework Agreement", "Steel Plate, Coking Coal, Iron Ore Supply and Marketing Agreement" 》. According to the agreement, CSSC will purchase more than 1 million tons of steel from the Chongqing Iron and Steel Group (or more than 50% of its total purchases).
In addition, the two sides will also cooperate in non-ship (non-steel) fields such as the environmental protection industry . It is reported that CSSC's annual purchase of shipboard steel is about 2 million tons. It is the first time to purchase 50% of the total ship plate steel in a company. This also indicates that heavy steel ship plate steel is fully recognized by customers.
