The Zion Fire Department is currently offering a used fire engine for sale on govdeals.com. This 1992 Spartan Gladiator PE-1536 tilt cab unit is in good working condition, with no known issues at this time. The truck has been used as a reserve engine for the past 12 years and has been out of service for the last six months. All city identification decals will be removed prior to sale, but all lighting systems will remain intact and fully functional.
The chassis has logged 75,581 miles and 8,746 hours of operation. It is powered by a Cummins C8.3 engine paired with an Allison automatic transmission. The pump system includes a Hale 1500 G.P.M. single-stage pump with 447 hours of use. The truck features a steel 750-gallon water tank, along with multiple discharge outlets: two 2 1/2-inch discharges on the left side, one 2 1/2-inch and one 4-inch discharge on the right, and two 2 1/2-inch discharges at the rear. It also includes two 1 3/4-inch cross lay lines, a piped deck gun, a 5-inch front suction, and auxiliary 2 1/2-inch suction lines on both sides. A booster reel is mounted on the top left of the unit.
