Still & Box Alarm Fire in Chicago, 11/7/19
This is from Drew Gresik:
Here are some photos from an early morning fire at a vacant two-and-a-half-story house located at 728 N Lotus Ave in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood. The fire had fully involved the roof of the structure. A total of four lines were stretched, with E96 using their deck gun and TL23 deploying an aerial master stream.
The photography was challenging due to a mix of sleet and dense vegetation on the property. I included both natural light shots and flash photos to show how a camera flash performs in rainy or snowy conditions.
It's interesting to note that this incident occurred while several units, including TL14, were still tied up at a 2-11 at 1644 N Spaulding Ave. That location was also a significant call, so it shows how quickly things can change in the field.
A full gallery with more images will be posted on our website this Friday. If you're interested in seeing more, make sure to check back soon.
