+ SOCKET WELD FITTINGS
Socket weld fittings are commonly used in small bore piping systems where high-pressure integrity and structural strength are required. These fittings are ideal for applications involving pipes with a nominal diameter of NPS 2 or smaller. Unlike butt-weld fittings, socket welds use fillet-type seal welds, which offer good leakage resistance but slightly lower fatigue resistance. However, they still provide better performance than most mechanical joining methods.
Socket weld fittings are widely used in industrial processes that require high-pressure connections. They are available in various types including elbows, tees, crosses, couplings, caps, and reducers. The fitting is inserted into a recessed area of a valve, flange, or another fitting, and then welded in place.
These fittings are typically manufactured according to standards such as ASME B16.11, MSS SP-79, and others, ensuring compatibility and reliability across different systems.

+THREADED FITTINGS
Threaded joints are one of the oldest and most common methods for connecting piping systems. They are typically used in small bore piping (NPS 2 or smaller) and are known for their ease of installation and maintenance. Threaded fittings are often used in low to medium pressure applications where disassembly is necessary for inspection or repair.
