US "Texas" nuclear submarine to test the flight

The U.S. Navy is currently carrying out extensive sea trials for the "Texas," a cutting-edge nuclear-powered submarine. These trials include deep diving, full-speed underwater navigation, and surface operations at maximum speed, all while thoroughly testing the onboard systems. The "Texas" is the second vessel in the advanced "Virginia" class of submarines, constructed by Newport News Shipbuilding in the United States. With a total cost of $2.1 billion, it represents a major investment in naval technology. Designed as the primary attack submarine for the U.S. Navy in the 21st century, the Virginia class is expected to eventually number 30 vessels. The Texas is specifically tasked with locating and neutralizing enemy submarines or surface ships, making it a critical asset in modern maritime warfare. The submarine has a displacement of 7,700 tons, measures 114.9 meters in length, and can dive to a maximum depth of 490 meters. It can travel at a top underwater speed of 35 knots and operates with a crew of 100 personnel. Additionally, the Texas is equipped with a small unmanned submersible weighing 220 tons, which enhances its reconnaissance and operational capabilities. This latest addition to the U.S. fleet showcases the country’s commitment to maintaining naval superiority and technological leadership in undersea warfare. The successful completion of these trials marks an important milestone in the submarine’s journey toward full operational readiness.
