600,000 tons of refined salt and supporting projects in Zhenjiang City
In late June, Zhongyan Zhenjiang Salt Chemical Co., Ltd. officially launched the construction of a 600,000-ton refined salt production project along with its supporting infrastructure at the opening ceremony of the Dantu Economic Development Zone in Zhenjiang City. This major project is one of the key initiatives listed and promoted by Dantu District in 2024, with a total investment of 1 billion yuan. The project includes the construction of 600,000 tons of vacuum salt, 12 million square meters of bittern processing area, and essential public terminals.
The salt production facility will utilize advanced technologies such as carbon dioxide brine purification, five-effect vacuum evaporation, and mother liquor recovery. In addition, it will feature a 50-kilometer brine transportation pipeline, expanded salt mine capacity, and improved logistics port facilities. Once completed, the project is expected to generate annual profits and taxes exceeding 100 million yuan, significantly contributing to the local economy and industrial development. The official start of the project marks a major milestone for both the company and the region's economic growth.
