4-Alarm brush fire in Pembroke, 4/1/15

This is from Dennis McGuire, Jr.

Josh Boyajian and I were in Kankakee County taking rig shots when the Pembroke Fire Department responded to a brush fire at 2600 South & 13000 East. They initially called for a third alarm due to approximately 50 acres of burning vegetation, along with several abandoned vehicles, trailers, and mobile homes, as well as a large number of tires. The situation quickly escalated, and command upgraded to a fourth alarm before requesting a Strike Team from MABAS 37. The area is primarily forested with rolling hills and scattered residential homes, making it challenging for firefighters to contain the spread.
