Introducing the reimagined Autodesk Gallery

When the Autodesk Gallery first opened its doors in 2008, it became San Francisco’s first dedicated space for design and making innovations. It showcased how Autodesk technology was shaping the future of creativity and engineering. Over the past decade, the pace of innovation has only accelerated, with industries embracing digital transformation at an unprecedented rate. Today, Autodesk customers use our tools to tackle some of the world’s most pressing challenges, and we remain committed to building a better future through design and manufacturing. We’re thrilled to announce the complete reimagining of the Autodesk Gallery, now located at One Market in San Francisco. After a major renovation and expansion completed in December 2021, the gallery now features a brand-new set of exhibits that celebrate the power of innovation and the impact of Autodesk technology on the world. As part of our new brand launch in September 2021, which reflects boldness, optimism, and action, the gallery serves as a physical representation of these values. It invites visitors to reflect on the positive change we can achieve together and to explore what’s possible today and tomorrow. The renovation process wasn’t without its challenges, especially with the ongoing global pandemic. From November 2020 to December 2021, the team prioritized health and safety, adapting quickly to evolving protocols, maintaining physical distancing, and using Autodesk tools like BIM 360, Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks to manage the project remotely. This experience reinforced how our technology helps teams navigate uncertainty and stay productive. In designing the new space, we also considered visitor safety. Touch-free buttons, sensor-activated interactive content, and other thoughtful elements were incorporated to ensure a safe and engaging experience for all. The gallery will open for select tours and events in 2022. In the meantime, you can take a virtual tour of this inspiring space and discover the innovative experiences it offers. Upon entering the gallery, guests are immediately immersed in the world of Autodesk. A large-scale video loop at one end of the lobby showcases the breadth of our capabilities and customer work, while a modern reception desk leads visitors to a physical representation of our new logo. Inside, the gallery highlights 13 unique customer stories, each showcasing cutting-edge solutions and visionary projects. For example, Build Change uses Autodesk tools to help communities rebuild after natural disasters, LAIKA brings animated films to life with our software, and NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory uses generative design to optimize spacecraft structures. Hyundai’s Ultimate Mobility Vehicle prototype demonstrates how Autodesk technology enables groundbreaking mobility solutions, and Perkins & Will explores robotic construction and modular design in their innovative timber tower. In addition to these customer exhibits, the gallery features three Autodesk-focused experiences: Spectrum, which celebrates the people behind innovation; Prism, an interactive storytelling hub; and Future Communities, a collaborative digital experience created with the Smithsonian that explores how AI and generative design can shape sustainable cities. The expanded space also includes an Executive Briefing Center for VIP visits and a flexible event space for various occasions. From start to finish, the Autodesk Gallery is a powerful and inspiring space that reflects the future of design and making.
