The introduction of large-scale refining equipment and clean fuel technologies significantly enhanced the technical level of China’s oil refining sector. By 2004, the proportion of high-concentration fertilizers and advanced tires had increased substantially, reflecting a shift toward more efficient and environmentally friendly production methods. Thirdly, the formation of proprietary intellectual property rights strengthened the industry's core competitiveness. Technologies such as the four-nozzle coal-water slurry gasification system and PEEK (polyether ether ketone) preparation technology achieved international recognition. These innovations not only reduced dependence on foreign technology but also opened up new markets and opportunities for Chinese companies. Additionally, breakthroughs in bio-chemical engineering, including lemon lignin production and microbial enzyme technology, positioned China at the forefront of global research in these fields. Finally, significant progress was made in the development of major petroleum and chemical equipment. Projects like the large-scale nitrogenous fertilizer localization initiative demonstrated China's growing self-reliance in key industrial technologies. The successful development of ethylene cracking furnaces, polypropylene systems, and other critical equipment marked a turning point in the industry's ability to compete globally. These advancements not only improved technical standards but also enhanced the overall efficiency and sustainability of China's chemical and petrochemical sectors.
