Zhong Ming, a fitter at Jiaxing Yahua Printing Machinery Co., Ltd., may appear thin and quiet at first glance. However, once he starts talking about machines, his personality transforms completely—he becomes energetic, passionate, and full of enthusiasm. You’ll always find him around the factory whenever there’s an issue with any of the equipment. His dedication has earned him multiple innovation awards at the city and district levels, highlighting his growing reputation as a skilled technician. From a young age, Zhong Ming was deeply fascinated by machinery. After finishing junior high school, he made the decision to pursue a career in the mechanical industry. Xu Deliang, the company's deputy general manager, recalls that when the company was recruiting technical staff in Shanghai, they set up a booth for just one day. Among the candidates, they found Zhong Ming, and now they’re glad they did. “He’s a rare talent,” Xu said with a smile. In August 2000, Zhong joined Jiaxing Yahua Printing Machinery. Although he had a solid technical foundation, he admitted the pressure was intense. There were always new things to learn, and he couldn’t afford to fall behind. During his first year, he spent his evenings studying and learning on his own, often staying up late to solve problems that came up during machine commissioning. “He always says, ‘If there’s a problem, there’s always a way to solve it,’” a colleague remarked, clearly impressed by his determination. Zhong Ming is never afraid of challenges. He actively participates in public welfare activities, labor competitions, and youth league events. In October 2005, he won first place in the Xiuzhou District employee locksmith competition and took second place at the city level. A month later, he competed at the provincial level, further inspiring his colleagues. Today, a wave of healthy competition has swept through the younger technical workers in the factory, with many striving to improve their skills and performance. His ability to learn quickly and take initiative has helped the company overcome numerous production challenges. In 2004, during the installation and commissioning of the DKP610 fully automatic pin puncher, some design flaws were discovered. With leadership approval, Zhong took on the task. Through repeated trials and modifications, he successfully resolved long-standing debugging issues, optimizing the relative angles, positions, and speeds of the cam mechanisms. He also contributed valuable suggestions during the CE certification process. One of his key innovations was a three-in-one control system combining electrical, pneumatic, and optical controls, significantly enhancing the machine’s automation, accuracy, and safety. The DKP610 became a groundbreaking product in its field, filling a national gap. His work earned him the second prize for "Five Small" scientific and technological achievements in Qing District and the third prize at the city level. This year, Zhong Ming was honored as a model worker in Jiaxing City for his contributions to technological innovation.

A Hydraulic cylinder is made up of a clevis, end cap, port, piston and piston rod, a seal gland and finally a seal. This hydraulic cylinder works by pressurising a fluid sealed within the cylinder, to force the piston to extend and retract with great speed and force.
