According to the data recently released by the National Bureau of Statistics, GDP in the first quarter of this year increased by 9.7% year-on-year and by 2.1% from the previous quarter. From a national perspective, the momentum of rapid economic development will continue to be sustained during the 12th Five-Year Plan period. However, at the same time as the rapid economic development, the environmental contradictions have become increasingly prominent. Energy conservation and emission reduction have been included in the agenda. The “12th Five-Year Plan” energy-saving emission reduction targets will be more stressful and more difficult than during the “Eleventh Five-Year Plan” period. Opportunities and challenges coexist. Today, in promoting low-carbon life, all industries are moving in the direction of energy-saving emission reduction, and instrumentation industry is no exception. Instruments and meters are mainly used in environmental quality monitoring and pollution source monitoring in energy conservation and emission reduction. For China's specific national conditions, environmental protection is mainly to solve China's water environment, atmospheric environment, two strategic and overall environmental pollution problems, and environmental instrumentation measurement, detection, analysis plays an indispensable role in this block. . Corresponding atmospheric monitoring and water treatment instruments will play a major role in the future. Specifically, the main requirements for environmental protection instrumentation are as follows:

1. Environmental Quality Monitoring At present, the national environmental protection system and various departments, industries, and enterprises have built more than 4,000 monitoring stations, employ more than 60,000 employees, and have numerous environmental research institutes. In recent years, it is the period of environmental science and monitoring and analysis instruments, equipment replacement and upgrading. The National Environmental Protection Agency plans to equip the country with more than 400 national network monitoring stations; more than 350 environmental information centers: 100 urban air ground automatic monitoring systems. Initial plans to invest 1.5 billion yuan, of which two-thirds of state investment, one-third of local investment. This does not include the investment in the capacity building of monitoring stations in industries, localities and enterprises, and various departments and localities have their own investment plans according to the needs of environmental protection tasks.

2. Monitoring of Pollution Sources The country shall implement the control and reduction of the total discharge of major pollutants to 18,000 key polluting enterprises across the country in order to improve the quality of the environment. Therefore, 18,000 large polluters are required to gradually install online continuous automatic monitoring systems. There are few mature domestic instrument systems, and the demand is much greater than the environmental quality monitoring, which is mainly purchased by polluting companies. The industries are mainly electric power, petrochemicals, building materials, metallurgy, paper making, food and urban sewage treatment plants, and the potential market is from several billion to tens of billions of yuan.

3. Remote Sensing Telemetering Instrumentation The country puts forward the principle of equal emphasis on environmental pollution prevention and ecological environment protection. To strengthen the ecological environment protection, we must monitor the ecological environment in China. Including monitoring of deserts, grasslands, forests, oceans, and agro-ecological environments, it is also necessary to carry out remote sensing telemetry of air pollution, water pollution (such as ocean red tide, oil spill pollution) and pollution sources, and to establish satellite ground receiving systems and satellite image analysis. The system analyzes the current status and changing trends of environmental ecological quality, and provides scientific basis for national environmental protection and construction.

In the face of such a favorable development environment, the domestic instrumentation industry needs more efforts to seize the opportunity to expand its strength. Because domestic instrumentation technology has a certain distance with foreign countries, technological innovation has become an inevitable choice for major instrument companies.
