New pumper squad for Northfield
Hey everyone,
Just got some updates on the new fire engine that Northfield FD has been waiting for. This beauty is a 2013 E-One E-Max with a Typhoon chassis, and it’s packing quite the punch. The specs show it’s equipped with a 1500-gallon per minute pump, 750 gallons of water capacity, and a 10-inch discharge with a 20-inch hose reel. It should be fully operational and out on calls by this week, which is fantastic news for the team.
This is all coming directly from Bill Smaha, who has been instrumental in bringing this project to life. He sent over some photos as well—check them out below!

This is the fire engine in action. As you can see, it's a sleek yet powerful machine. The image was captured by Bill himself, giving us an up-close look at the details and design.

Here’s another shot focusing more on the graphics and layout. Again, Bill’s photography does a great job highlighting how professional and polished this vehicle looks.
[Third Image: Fire Engine Close-Up]
Lastly, here’s a close-up view of the fire engine. You can really appreciate the craftsmanship and attention to detail in this shot.
It’s exciting to see everything coming together, and I’m sure the crew at Northfield FD will put this new addition to great use. If anyone has any questions or wants more info, feel free to reach out to Bill Smaha—he’s always happy to share details about the project.
Stay safe out there!
Best,
