Unfortunately, I wasn't able to capture the best shots due to the roadblocks set up by the Lake County Sheriff. Chardon Road was completely closed off, making it difficult to get closer to the scene. However, I managed to take a few photos from a distance, and I’ve also included one of Grayslake Fire Station #3, though it’s not the clearest image.
Below are the photos I took. As you can see, the flames were intense, and the firefighters did an incredible job managing such a large-scale blaze. These images really don’t do justice to how massive the fire was, but they give you a sense of the scale.
I hope these photos provide a bit of context for those who weren’t there. It was definitely an intense situation, and I’m grateful for the hard work of the firefighters who kept the community safe.
