On March 18, 2004, China Automotive News reported that CNHTC successfully launched two new heavy-duty truck chassis models: ZZ3382N2566 and ZZ1382N3066F. These models are designed to meet the diverse road conditions across China and the evolving needs of the trucking industry. The ZZ3382N2566 is a multi-axle dump truck chassis with a total weight of 38 tons and an 8×4 drive configuration, featuring three and four axles driven. It boasts a long dump body of up to 6.2 meters, making it ideal for construction and engineering transport applications. The vehicle features a Steyr King cab, offering enhanced driving comfort with improved interior design. Meanwhile, the ZZ1382N3066F was specifically developed for concrete transportation after extensive market research. It can be equipped with either a clutch-driven or engine-direct power take-off system, making it versatile for use in cement mixers and other high-value trucks like concrete pumpers. The semi-high Steyr cab includes a new 5001 interior with a sleeping berth, enhancing driver comfort during long journeys. Both models are powered by the WD615.68A six-cylinder turbocharged intercooled diesel engine, delivering 225 kW of rated power and 1250 N·m of maximum torque, while complying with Euro II emission standards. The transmission system uses a Fuller 9-speed manual gearbox, ensuring high compatibility with Steyr series components for easier maintenance and service. These developments highlight CNHTC's commitment to innovation and meeting the growing demands of the commercial vehicle market. With these advanced chassis models, the company continues to strengthen its position in the national heavy truck industry.
