"Scientific Instruments and Technology Innovation" holds doctoral student forum

On August 27th, the 2011 National Doctoral Forum was held at Tianjin University. The forum was hosted by the Graduate School of Tianjin University and organized by the Institute of Precision Instrument and Optoelectronics Engineering of Tianjin University. More than 100 doctoral students from many universities and research institutions across the country participated in the forum. The theme of the forum was “The promotion of analytical testing technology and instrument development to scientific research.” The conference received a total of 68 manuscripts. The conference collected 49 academic papers.

On the morning of August 27th, the opening ceremony of the forum was held in the eighth conference room of the conference building of Tianjin University. Tianjin University’s deputy secretary of the party committee and secretary of the Disciplinary Committee Wang Hao attended the doctor’s forum. The forum was opened by Zhao Meirong, vice president of the Graduate School of Tianjin University. Zhao Huijuan, vice president of the School of Precision Instrument and Optoelectronics Engineering of Tianjin University, delivered a welcome speech. Subsequently, Liu Wenqing, director of the Anhui Institute of Optics and Technology, and Wenlu Lu, director of technology of the Concentration Science and Technology Co., Ltd. respectively gave lectures and introduced the latest research results and future development trends in this field. Subsequently, two excellent doctoral students made reports. On the afternoon of the 27th, Zhang Ying, China Environmental Monitoring Station, and Fu Shijiang, North China Manager of Agilent Technologies Co., Ltd. made separate guest lectures. Then, two outstanding doctoral students made brilliant academic reports based on their latest research results. After the report, doctoral students conducted extensive academic exchanges on the contents of the report.

The theme of the conference was “Promoting the development of analytical testing technology and instrument development for scientific research.” It established a high-level, deep-level, and most advanced academic communication platform for doctoral students engaged in the research of related fields of analytical instruments, and achieved scientific results. The purpose of activating academic ideas and promoting academic innovation has achieved the desired results.
