Imports of foreign machine tools into China last year increased by 40.6% year-on-year

According to the analysis of the association's import data, the amount of metal processing machine tools imported from Japan and Germany in 2011 increased by 50.3% and 40% respectively over the previous year, mainly due to the import of high-end products. In addition, a large number of mid-range machine tools are also influx. The amount of processing centers imported from Taiwan and South Korea increased by 23.7% and 24.3% respectively over the previous year. In comparison, China's export of a considerable part of its products is low-end products and raw material exports, while the basic pattern of key spare parts still relying on foreign imports has improved, but there has been no fundamental change.
