Foping is located in the middle part of the southern foot of the Qinling Mountains. It is a national nature reserve protected mainly by giant pandas. There are 130 wild pandas in the country. The discovery of the leopard is very close to the giant panda conservation area and is less than a few dozens. Kilometers, mainly in the area of ​​Donghetai Village in Changjiao Town. The leopard has more than 20 subspecies in the world, and China has 3 subspecies, mainly South China leopards, North China leopards and Northeast leopards, which belong to high-quality mammals at the top of the biological chain.

According to experts, the discovery should belong to the South China leopard. Foping found wild leopards to prove the continuous improvement of the ecological environment in Shaanxi Province, providing good conditions for the top species of the food chain endangered leopard's life and reproduction. Huayang Yang County in Huazhong County also photographed leopards in 2008.
