It is reported that since Beijing implemented the National III emission standards in 2005, sales of the Iveco Light Bus in the city have consistently increased by an average of 30% annually. Service is the final word. It is known that some commercial vehicle companies lack core technologies for National III engines and have to upgrade their engines on short notice to meet the standards. Lin Wei, Secretary-General of the China Light Vehicle United Analysis Association, mentioned that after full implementation of National III, after-sales service becomes a critical challenge. This includes whether spare parts are available, whether professional diagnostic equipment is in place, and whether maintenance staff are properly trained. “The National III engine uses EFI technology, which requires higher standards for both equipment and personnel. Many companies had very little time to prepare, making it difficult to ensure proper diagnostics and maintenance.” According to reports, after the launch of National III products in 2004, Nanjing Iveco began equipping its national service network with professional engine diagnostic computers. “Because the Iveco III products were launched early and had large inventory, our after-sales team has accumulated extensive experience, ensuring that customers receive timely and professional support,” said Shuai Guowang, Vice Minister of After-sales Service at Nanjing Iveco.
