The preparation of cerium oxide from spent acid is mainly because ilmenite contains barium, and ilmenite is decomposed by sulfuric acid, in which titanium, iron, barium, etc. all become soluble sulfates into the solution, and later most of them are removed by freeze crystallization. The iron is then hydrolyzed by heating, and the titanium-forming meta-titanic acid is separated from the solution. The barium sulfate and the like are still left in the solution, and the cerium-containing solution (ie, waste acid) is used for extraction, back extraction, filtration, acid dissolution, The precipitated ruthenium, filtered water washed, re-fired, cooled, and packaged, the finished yttrium oxide product is obtained.
