Liaohe Oilfield has made significant progress in major technological research related to SAGD (Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage) technology. A key ancillary technology—lifting system technology—has been successfully developed, and the serialization of related products is now entering the stage of practical application. The results have been promising, with the potential to replace foreign counterparts. This development provides strong support for the large-scale implementation of SAGD technology in the region.
It is reported that Liaohe Oilfield started testing SAGD technology in 2004 at the Du 84 block, achieving remarkable success and continuous breakthroughs. However, critical components of the supporting systems, such as oil pumps, polished rod sealers, and detachable lifting devices, were still imported from abroad. These imported pumps are costly, significantly increasing the implementation expenses of SAGD technology. Once the technology matures, these high costs could become a major challenge during production.
To address this issue, Liaohe Oilfield tasked its Drilling Technology Research Institute with developing an independent SAGD pump lifting system and related products. Researchers conducted comprehensive studies, optimized parameters, selected suitable materials, and designed two types of pumps: a standard pump and a large-capacity pump. Using self-developed manufacturing processes, they successfully created two new pump models.
Preliminary field tests on SAGD wells showed excellent performance from both pump models. Currently, the technology has been tested in nine horizontal wells, with four of them operating for over four months. The performance is comparable to that of foreign-made equipment in terms of machining accuracy and efficiency.
Once fully developed and widely applied, this technology is expected to significantly reduce production costs for Liaohe Oilfield, enhancing both economic benefits and operational efficiency. This marks a major step forward in the localization and independent development of critical SAGD technologies.
Air Cooler Turbine
An air cooler turbine is a device used in an air cooler that increases air flow and improves air cooling efficiency. A turbine is a rotating piece made up of a series of blades that turn as air passes through the turbine, creating a powerful flow of air. This airflow takes heat out of the air, making it cooler. The air cooler turbine is usually driven by a motor and can be adjusted as needed for speed and air volume. It is widely used in automobile, robot, electronic equipment and other fields.
Air cooler, referred to as "air cooler", also called fin fan, commonly used to replace the water cooled shell - tube Heat Exchanger cooling medium. It is a device for cooling or condensing the high temperature process fluid inside the tube by sweeping the finned tube with ambient air as the cooling medium. Air cooler is mainly used in petroleum, chemical, metallurgy and other air cooler supporting use, with large air volume, high efficiency, low vibration, low noise, easy maintenance and other advantages.
The main business scope is various heaters, waste heat boilers, pressure vessels, supportingair preheaters, air coolers, furnace accessories and accessories, and provide equipment installation, with EPC ability of projects. At present, our customers have covered all large and medium-sized petrochemical enterprises in China and established long-term strategic cooperative partnership with them. Products are exported to Southeast Asia, Middle East, and other regions.
