On June 21st, the 318-cycle rolling mill project—China's only large-diameter thick-walled pilger rolling mill and the first Chengdu-based relocation project of Pancheng Steel Co., Ltd.—successfully added the piercing machine. Following this milestone, the system completed its heat load linkage test runs, and the first seamless steel pipe was rolled with success. This marks a major step forward, as the entire thermal load testing phase is now in full swing, moving toward the final stage. The project is expected to be fully completed and officially put into operation before the key network node on July 10. This achievement not only highlights the technical advancement of Pancheng Steel but also signals a new chapter in the company’s production capacity expansion and regional development strategy. With the successful completion of this critical phase, the team is now focused on ensuring smooth operations and optimal performance as the mill prepares for full-scale production.
