The Fourth General Assembly of the China General Machinery Industry Association Drying Branch and the China Dry Industry Summit Forum took place on June 26, 2006, in Jinan. The event focused on fostering unity, collaboration, and innovation to drive the growth of China's drying industry. It brought together a wide range of industry leaders, experts, and representatives from member companies, with over 130 participants in attendance. Among the notable attendees were Mr. Yan Yongbin, President of the China General Machinery Industry Association; Mr. Huang Wei, Vice President of the association; Mr. Zhang Yubao, Secretary-General of the association; and Mr. Xiao Chengji, a senior expert in the drying industry. Other key figures included Professor Li Hai-Shi, Director of the Shandong Academy of Sciences, and officials from the Shandong Provincial Development and Reform Commission, such as Mr. Huang Ning. Representatives from the Chemical Engineering Committee of the Chinese Chemical Society and various drying technology professionals also participated. The conference featured several key discussions and decisions. First, speeches were delivered by prominent association leaders, including President Xi Yongbin, Vice President Huang Huan, and Secretary-General Zhang Yubao. They provided updates on the current state of the drying industry and highlighted recent developments in drying technology. The General Assembly reviewed and approved the work report from the previous council, led by Chairman Shi Yongchun. It also discussed amendments to the "Articles of Association," "Organization Work Regulations," and "Fund Management Measures." A proposal for establishing a technical committee was introduced, along with an overview of the National Drying Professional Standardization Committee. The meeting also approved the election of 38 units, including Shandong Tianli Drying Equipment Co., Ltd., to form the fourth council of the Drying Association. In addition, the first meeting of the fourth council was held, during which Shandong Tianli Drying Equipment Co., Ltd. was elected as the chairman unit, with Shi Yongchun appointed as director. Sixteen units, including Changzhou Step Drying Equipment Factory, were selected as vice-chairman units, while eight units, such as Jiangsu Zhengchang Drying Equipment Co., Ltd., became standing director units. Mr. Chai Benyin and Mr. Yang Huaiyu were appointed as Vice President and Deputy Secretary-General, respectively. The event also saw the first meeting of the Drying Association Technical Committee and the National Drying Professional Standardization Committee following organizational adjustments. On the evening of June 26, delegates gathered at the Yuquan Senxin Hotel for a special reception hosted by Shandong Tianli Drying Equipment Co., Ltd. The evening concluded with a toast celebrating the success of the conference and expressing hopes for a brighter future for the Chinese drying industry.
