The Fourth General Assembly of the China General Machinery Industry Association Drying Branch and the China Dry Industry Summit Forum took place on June 26, 2006, in Jinan. The event focused on key themes such as unity, collaboration, and innovation to drive the sustainable development of China’s drying industry. This gathering brought together industry leaders, experts, and representatives from member companies to discuss the future direction and challenges of the sector. The conference was attended by a distinguished group of participants, including Mr. Yan Yongbin, President of the China General Machinery Industry Association; Mr. Huang Wei, Vice President of the association; Mr. Zhang Yubao, Secretary-General of the association; and Mr. Xiao Chengji, a senior expert in the drying industry. Other notable attendees included Professor Li Hai-Shi, Director of the Shandong Academy of Sciences, Mr. Jiang Di, Deputy Director of the Shandong Provincial Academy of Sciences, and Mr. Huang Ning, Director of the Department of Industry and Development at the Shandong Provincial Development and Reform Commission. Over 130 professionals from various sectors of the drying industry participated in the event. The main outcomes of the meeting included several important discussions and decisions. First, the assembly heard reports from key figures such as President Xi Yongbin, Vice Presidents Huang Huan and Zhang Yubao, and received updates on the current state of the drying industry. Experts also presented insights on advancements in drying technology and industry trends. During the General Assembly, the work report from the Third Council, delivered by Chairman Shi Yongchun, was reviewed and approved. Amendments to the "Articles of Association," "Organization Work Regulations," and "Fund Management Measures" were discussed, along with the establishment of a technical committee and the introduction of the National Drying Professional Standardization Committee. A total of 38 units, including Shandong Tianli Drying Equipment Co., Ltd., were elected to form the Fourth Council of the Drying Association. In addition, the first meeting of the Fourth Council was held, where the president was democratically elected. Shandong Tianli Drying Equipment Co., Ltd. was appointed as the chair unit, with Shi Yongchun serving as director. Sixteen units, including Changzhou Step Drying Equipment Factory, were selected as vice-chair units, while eight units, such as Jiangsu Zhengchang Drying Equipment Co., Ltd., became standing director units. Following this, Mr. Chai Benyin and Mr. Yang Huaiyu were appointed as Vice President and Deputy Secretary-General, respectively. A technical committee meeting and an updated session of the National Drying Professional Standardization Committee were also held. On the evening of June 26, delegates gathered at the Yuquan Senxin Hotel for a special party hosted by Shandong Tianli Drying Equipment Co., Ltd. They celebrated the successful conclusion of the conference and expressed hopes for a brighter future for the Chinese drying industry.
