Czech Xie Lide Plant Laterite Nickel Ore Dressing Plant

The product is an electro- nickel process

The plants used in the reduction roasting-ammonia leaching process to produce electro-nickel from laterite ore are Brazil Tocantins Nickel, Czech Sheridan and Albania's Elbasan Nickel Plant. Figure 4 shows the flow of the Scherrer plant.

The plant produces 3,000 tons of nickel per year. The main technical and economic indicators are as follows:
Nickel leaching rate is 74%, cobalt leaching rate is 65%, total recovery from ore to electric nickel is 70%; ammonia consumption is 8kg/t dry ore; electrolysis power consumption is 7000kWh/t nickel.
