China Automobile Dealers Association predicts that in 2018, domestic second-hand car trading volume is expected to approach 15 million.

Xiao Zhengsan, secretary-general of China Automobile Dealers Association, believes that due to the low base, the transaction volume of used cars exceeding 12 million vehicles is still small compared with the annual sales of nearly 30 million new cars, but the growth rate has made the used car market higher. The outlook is expected. The increase in the transaction volume of used cars has also increased the contribution to the purchase of new cars.

In recent years, under the encouragement of many favorable policies, used cars have become a new growth point of the automobile market. The data shows that since 2015, the domestic used car market has begun to show a rapid growth trend, with annual growth of 15%-20%.

In 2016, the State Council issued the “Several Opinions on Promoting Convenient Transactions of Used Cars”, requesting the cancellation of the policy of moving in second-hand vehicles. According to the "2017 China Used Car Industry Development Report" issued by the China Automobile Dealers Association, in 2017, the national transfer policy was further lifted, maximizing the development and utilization of the residual value of used cars, forming a unified, standardized and efficient second-hand national Car market order. Ministry of Commerce spokesman Gao Feng said that in 2018, the Ministry of Commerce will continue to vigorously activate the used car market, focusing on the elimination of the policy on the restriction of second-hand vehicles, clearing the policy standards for the restrictions on used cars, and increasing supervision.

In addition, the People's Bank of China and the China Banking Regulatory Commission's newly revised "Automobile Loan Management Measures" (hereinafter referred to as the "Measures") will be implemented from January 1, 2018. The "Measures" stipulate that the proportion of used car loans will increase from 50% to 70%. The "Measures" further lowered the threshold for the sale of used cars.

According to industry insiders, the domestic second-hand car industry is still at an early stage. Under the promotion of favorable policies, the entire industry will gradually enter the high-speed development track.
